The Serres Chamber’s Development Company invites you to the final conference of the project “RE-thinking MICROcredit as a tool to support SMEs and boost LOCAL economies”, with the acronym “REMICRO LOCAL” which will take place on Thursday, September 21, 2023 at 12:30 at the SEREXPO Business Center “CHRISTOS MEGLAS” (former Kolokotroni Camp, Entrance of National Road Thessaloniki – Serres).

The Conference will take place on Interreg Cooperation Day, a European campaign that aims to make visible successful cases of European cooperation in society through fun cultural activities across Europe. In this sense, every September 21, Europe celebrates cooperation between countries by organizing more than a hundred activities that take place in many European cities. REMICRO LOCAL has joined this campaign and is holding its final conference to report on its successful completion.  During the final conference, all the actions carried out in the context of the implementation of the project and their results will be presented by the project partners, while interesting topics related to the project will be discussed.

The partners of the project are the Business & Cultural Development Center (KEPA), EPANESER and the Alliance for Regional Cooperation and Development and Rhodopes Regional Tourism Association from Bulgaria.

“REMICRO LOCAL” was successfully completed with training workshops, mentoring, B2B meetups as well as open events, as well as the establishment of six business support centers in the areas of Thessaloniki, Serres, Kavala, Komotini, Smolyan and Haskovo. Through their participation in the project activities, the entrepreneurs had the opportunity to join a cross-border business network and created contacts and links with businesses from other regions of the participating regions of the Greek-Bulgarian eligible area.

As part of the networking activities of the Remicro LOCAL project implemented by the Center for Business & Cultural Development, an awareness day for the young men and women of our city is being organized by the Department of Programs & Lifelong Learning of the Municipality of Thessaloniki in collaboration with the KEPA project team , on the occasion of the designation of 2022 as the European Youth Year (EYY – European Youth Year).

As part of the implementation of the Remicro LOCAL project, KEPA is organizing a networking event in Kavala, on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at 7pm at “Aparto” Bistrot Cafe (Ethnikis Antistaseos 10, TK 65403, Kavala).

The event is focusing on the subject “We do business local. The project’ overall objective is the development of a cross border scheme composed of business support organizations that will exchange good practices and cooperate with a goal to jointly tackle the issue of empowering existing and new businesses in the cross border area. This will be achieved by improving the supply of high quality business support and capacity building services tailored to their specific needs so that they enhance their competences and grow, especially in emerging for the region sectors such as agri-food and agribusiness, tourism, renewable energy sources, waste management, etc.
