Our guest speaker, Mr. Therapon Fakas, Trainer and Business Coach by “Coach the Day<\/a>“, positively inspired all the participants of the RemicroLOCAL Workshop that took place on Wednesday, May 18, 2022 in Kavala. The focus of the discussion was the so-called “Soft Skills” or Skills for Life! These skills refer to our character and how we communicate and interact with others, or even with the situations we face.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Today more than ever, given the rapid changes in the profession map, with the advent of the fourth industrial revolution, Soft Skills are of particular importance both in the job market and the business scene.\u00a0 Enterprises tend to hire people with skills, not degrees.<\/div>\n
Certainly a degree or a certification is necessary to claim a specific job but more and more the skills that accompany a professional \/ entrepreneur, are not related to what he\/she has studied, if he\/she has studied\u2026
\n… mainly to what level he\/she has reached the empowerment of his\/her personal development in terms of facing the changes and challenges of the modern era.<\/div>\n

In view of the high demand for the specific workshop, coming from the business community of Komotini, our speaker, Mr. Fakas, was hosted on Wednesday, May 25, 2022, at the Rodopi Chamber of Commerce and Industry<\/a>, where participants had the opportunity to interact and discover their own aspects regarding soft skills, such as: Time Management, Critical & Creative Thinking,\u00a0 Mindset for\u00a0 Development, Stress Management and Negative thoughts, Setting goals, aimed at strengthening their personal development.<\/div>\n
In conclusion, Mr. Fakas underlined that “each and every one of us, either an employee or an entrepreneur, needs to behave with an entrepreneurial mindset, that is, whether he is an employee or owner of a company, he\/she should consider himself\/herself as one\u2026 sole proprietor\u00a0<\/i>“.<\/div>\n

Another workshop that was held in Komotini, took place on Wednesday, May 18, 2022, referring to the issue of managing corprorate\u00a0 finances.\u00a0 In fact, a detailed discussion was led by\u00a0Mr. Antonios Tsialikis, Lawyer and Managing Partner of N.PANOU-A.TSIALIKI AND ASSOCIATES OF THE LAW COMPANY<\/a>,\u00a0focusing on “Business consolidation and a second chance for entrepreneurs under the new Bankruptcy Law”.<\/div>\n

The event was held at the premises of the Rodopi Chamber of Commerce and Industry<\/a>, during which issues that have been discussed include the important regulations of the new Bankruptcy Law (Law 4738\/2020 “Debt settlement and provision of a second chance”), which concerns the so-called “second chance \u201dof debtors, ie, their ability to make a new “clean” start.\u00a0 Plus, the procedures for dealing with the insolvency of legal entities (debtors), as well as potential practical difficulties from the process of consolidation of companies in the light of Law 4738\/2020<\/div>\n

Mr. Antonios Tsialikis informed the participants in detail about the possibilities provided by the new legislation, in terms of:<\/p>\n

\u2705 the prevention of insolvency with the possibility of settling debts for a period of up to 20 years,<\/div>\n
\u2705 its timely response having the consolidation of a business, and<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
\u2705\u00a0the financial restart of those that had gone bankrupt, offering a second chance.<\/div>\n

Finally, following a kind invitation to our organization, that was addressed by the administration of the Vocational School – DIEK Kavala<\/a> – another Remicro LOCAL Workshop was hosted by the Department of “Technical Tourist Units and Hospitality Enterprises<\/a>“, where\u00a0Mrs\u00a0Margarita Fydanaki, Head of Remicro LOCAL Office in Kavala, presented “green skills” in tourism companies.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
She highlighted that the performance of companies in the fields of ESG strategy (in terms of environment, society and corporate governance<\/i>), and the implementation of environmental management systems, create a great opportunity in tourism to be redefined in terms of sustainable development.\u00a0 Of course, a prerequisite for achieving green sustainability is environmental education, the development of green skills and the adoption of green business practices based on compliance with the principles of saving energy, water, waste and hazardous waste.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
In addition, Mrs. Fydanaki referred to the new trend, the “green” hotels, with the eco-label being the official mark of the environmental quality of services and goods in the European Union. “The goal is to minimize the environmental footprint of our holidays and to take action on issues of sustainable development” suggested the students of DIEK in Kavala.<\/div>\n
